No BIG Surprises

37 1/2 weeks and only 7 days from delivery :)

Well, today was my last doctor's appointment. I lost a pound, which I guess you can do at the end of your pregnancy. So my total weight gain is only 30 pounds, that is less than either of my other two pregnancies. As far as any new developments, everything has stayed the same once again. So the plan remains. I will go to the hospital next Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Dr. Kil will be in between 7-7:30 a.m. and said he would be there all day until he delivers Little Miss Kamryn Grace. My last two deliveries were both 6 hours long, so he doesn't expect it to take very long. I also asked him her size, and he said there is really no way to know for sure, but he was guessing was around 7 pounds now.

Our Weekend Update

This weekend has been kind of busy. Brad had a fishing tournament, so we spent the day at our friend Megan's pool again on Saturday. We got in a little more tanning in, and the girls had a blast. Each day they are in the water they become a little more brave. When we got home, we had a nice family dinner, and then had a family night. We rented Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, and we all layed around the living room together. It was a really nice evening. Sunday, the girls and I went to church and on our usual grocery shopping trip. Our friends Evette and Savannah came over to spend the day here. Evette and I were suppose to scrapbook while the kids spent time swimming and playing. Needless to say, we never pulled our scrapbooking stuff out. I did not feel 100%. I even had to walk out during the church service, and it kind of lingered all day. Is this the start of something???? I guess only time will tell. Until after my doctor's appointment in the morning, we continue to wait. Hopefully everyone had a nice weekend. I will post an update tomorrow.

Little Girls

Little Diva!

May I help you please?

Today we just kind of hung around the house. I felt like I was nesting. For some reason, I got the urge to do baseboards and dee cleaning all day long. I never really sat down or felt tired. I just kept going. So while I was cleaning, the girls were doing the girly things they love best, play dress-up and with their little kitchen set. It is a daily thing for them to pull out all of the dress-up clothes and prance around in their clickety shoes. I tried to snap a few pictures, but only got a good one of Rylee. Then they played restaurant outside on the deck. They set up their little table and took turns serving each other. Rylee got a little notepad and started taking orders. It was really cute. When I took my cleaning breaks, I visited their restaurant for a snack or a meal. It is so cute to see them play together. Hopefully they will always enjoy each other and spending time together.

Yesterday seemed like it was the longest day ever. We didn't have any plans, so the girls and I were excited to go to Megan's today. I promised her and the girls we would spend a day at her pool before Kamryn was born. So we packed our pool bag and headed to her house pretty early. We were soaking up the sun by 11:30. The girls have done lessons in soccer, dance, and gymnastics, but NOT yet swimming. I was sure we would spend most of the time in the kiddie pool, but kids make a liar out of you everytime. All they wanted was in the big pool. Since I was not feeling 100%, Megan did most of the work, ha! Just a little practice for her. We took a lunch break, and then swam until around for a few more hours. Daddy called then and asked us to meet him at the Outback for dinner for 5:00, so we rounded up our pool toys and headed back to Megan's to change and get ready for dinner. We had a nice day in the sun and may go back over the weekend. I took my new camera and snapped quite a few pictures, so enjoy!

Girls Night Out!

My friend Megan decided we all needed one more girl's night out before I went into labor or to the hospital to have Little Miss Kamryn. So late this afternoon, my friends Megan, Terri, Evette, Heather, and I all went out for pedicures. I also got my eyebrows and lip waxed while I was there. The girl that did my pedicure asked if I wanted her to really massage my feet and legs. She said one of the massage therapist that she works with showed her the really sensitive spots to avoid with pregnant women. But since I was so close, I told her to go right ahead and massage away. She also said she knew of at least 3 cases for sure that the women all went into labor within 2 days of their pedicures. I felt nothing right away, so we just continue to wait and see what happens.

After our pedicures, we went to Chili's to eat. We got a table outside and had a great time eating and talking. We all decided that we need to make this a more regular evening out.

So, after the past two weeks of pampering, my hair is cut and colored. My feet are massaged and painted, and my face is waxed. The car seat is ready, the stroller is cleaned and ready, and all of her clothes are washed. I set up the bassinet and cradle last week, and I now officially feel like Kamryn can come at any time. I feel like I now did everything I wanted to get done before she arrived. So, Little Miss Kamryn if you are listening to me as I read this aloud, we are READY and can't wait to see you baby girl.

NO CHANGES!!!!!

I went to my weekly doctor appointment this morning. After several days of pretty good contractions, I thought for sure there would be something new to report. I was wrong. I guess it is heading in the same direction of the last 2 pregnancies. The doctor jokingly said, "You really don't do much on your own do you?" We both laughed. So another week of waiting. It will be my last appointment before my induction.

Dance Recital Weekend - JUMP, SHOUT, BOOGIE!

I just couldn't help but snap this picture.
I thought it was so sweet seeing them

Rylee and Sydney - Ballerina and future dancerRylee looking so beautiful on our way to the show
Little Diva all ready to go put on her big showNana, Rylee, and SydneySince Thursday, we have been in dance recital mode. We had rehearsals both Thursday and Friday to prepare for the actual show. Nana and MeMe came into town on Friday night to spend this exciting weekend with us. We are so lucky they can get here for special days. We spent Saturday walking around downtown Fredericksburg, and had lunch outside. Then Sydney got sick, so mommy and Rylee went to Garrett's birthday party while MeMe and Nana took Sydney home to rest for a while. Thinking she was feeling a little better, they met us at the party, but within an hour, she didn't feel so well again, so we headed back home to just hang out and spend time together. While Sydney slept some more, Nana and MeMe watchecd Rylee swim in the pool. She thought it was so fun to swim under the water, and everyone was proud of her. Sunday morning Nana and mommy took Sydney to the doctor, but didn't really find out anything. We think she has an ear infection, so hopefully she will feel a little better tomorrow, or we will have to go back to visit the doctor again. At 11:00 am, we all started to get ready for the dance recital. This year it is called Guys and Dolls. That is where we spent the rest of the afternoon. Rylee did an amazing job. We were all so proud of her. She looked beautiful and danced so well. Next year, we will get to see both Rylee and Sydney dancing. We can't wait. Thank you Nana and MeMe for coming to visit and spend this special day with us. We love you and can't wait to see you in two weeks when Baby Kamryn will be arriving.

Baby Shower

Wow! What a nice evening. All of the ladies on my street put together a little baby shower. We went to the Olive Garden, hoping to sit outside for dinner, but the weather did not cooperate. We had a great dinner and a nice time anyway. Everyone was so generous. Little Miss got some really cute onsies, little outfits, a few basic necessities, and some gift cards. It was very unexpected and very thoughtful of everyone. Now all we need is Kamryn. Thank you to everyone for coming and sharing the evening with me and for all the great things that you bought for our little one. I am so happy to have such great neighbors and friends.

Doctor Update

I went to the doctor this morning. I am 35 1/2 weeks and still hanging in there. I had my final blood work done today and the Strep B culture. He examed me, and I am 50% effaced, but have not started to dialate. Since I did not do that with either Rylee or Sydney, I was surprised. We discussed my induction, and it is scheduled for July 7. How crazy is that? Rylee was born on 12/12. Sydney was born on 3/3, and Kamryn will be born on 7/7. That was actually the date I was hoping for all along. Since I have been induced both times before, I asked if he thought I may go on my own before the induction, and he said he didn't think so, but I guess you never know. All I know is that I am so ready to finally meet our new little angel. I can't stop thinking about what she will look like. Whether she will have light or dark hair? Will she have dark eyes or will all my children have blue eyes like their daddy? But most of all, I just keep praying that she is born healthy. It won't be long now. I have registered at the hospital, packed her bag, and started to get my stuff ready. Pulled out the infant car seat and got it all cleaned up and put the bedding on the bassinet and craddle. So, I think I am just about ready. Three weeks from tonight, whether on her own time or by my scheduled induction, she will finally be here.

All the kids have been talking about swimming, so I decided to make today a pool day. We set up the slip and slide in the yard and filled the swimming pool. What a blast they all had. They counted down all morning until we could fill the pool. Once they got in, they didn't want out. They played with the kitchen foods and toys in the water and splashed around. Even the little ones did great. We had popsicles and spent the whole day outside in the water.

One ear up and one down, this is how her ears always are.
Thnaks Miss Evette for my bath. Now I can go get all dirty again.

Well, several people have asked me why I have not posted any pictures of my crazy dog, so I took of few pictures of her in action. She loves to be outside. I have a hard time getting her to come back inside. She tends to always get soaked and muddy. Since she hates her baths, you would think she would learn, but she hasn't yet.

Pregnancy update

Well, I went to the doctor today for my routine visit. I am 34 weeks and 4 days. After 45 minute wait in the waiting room, and feeling like my skin was on fire from all this hot weather, I was finally called back. I gained 2 pounds over the past 3 weeks, so I am up to a total of 26. Still about 8 pounds difference from the first 2 pregnancies. The doctor said the test results they sent out last week actually did not show a UTI after all. Therefore, I either had another kindey stone or that the baby's head was putting a lot of pressure there. I gave him a recap of exactly how I have been feeling, and he basically said that the only way I would feel better, was to deliver. In the meantime, he wanted me off my feet as much as possible. Ha! I run a daycare here from 7:30-5:00, how am I suppose to be off my feet??? He said he was not putting me on bedrest, but that I needed to have help here, and rest as much as possible. That is so hard, especially when I actually have a ton of energy right now and don't feel sick. I feel helpless sitting around, and I hate it. He did not do an exam, but said he would next appointment. He estimated that the baby was around 6 pounds, which makes me a little nervous since I still have a few more weeks to go. He also said he could tell she was head down and in position. We talked a little bit more about induction and he said he would induce me at least a week early. All in all, everything went well, So, again we wait for another week.

More pool fun!

Rylee shooting water from the rocket shooter!

Syney was sun bathing on a raft

As we were getting ready for church this morning, Heather called to see if we wanted to spend the afternoon at the pool with her and the boys. So we packed everything up and went straight from church. We ordered pizza and had lunch there too. It was extremely hot, but for some reason it didn't feel so bad by the water. I do think I need to get the girls in swimming lesson, especially Sydney. They were a little fearful of the water. Rylee got a little more brave when she realized she was tall enough to touch in

Sunday Morning Best

This morning we got all dressed up in our new dresses that MeMe bought us and met Evette and Savannah at chuch. The girls have been wanting to wear their new dresses and they looked so pretty all dressed up. They went up to the front of the church for the children's message and then off to their class. They love to go. We had a nice morning.

Beating the heat

The temperature today reached 99 degrees. We stayed inside most of the day, but then had to fight the heat and take Rylee to her first of several dress rehearsals for her upcoming dance recital. It was a nightmare last year, so I had Brad chauffer us to the front door. The whole process was only 15 minutes but just being outside for that long was crazy. She did well, and then we headed to the ice cream shop. When we got back, Brad filled the pool outside and they spent several hours splashing around. To be a kid again....

34 Weeks

Here are a few new photos of my belly growing as Baby Kamryn's due date gets closer. I am 34 weeks now. Everyone seems to think my belly has dropped alot, and I can honestly say, I agree. I have had terrible heartburn for quite some time now, and in the past 2 weeks, it has finally eased up. The top of my belly feels empty and she feels much lower to me. My scale actually says I have lost a little bit of weight. I am still weighing 10 pounds lighter then I did with either Rylee or Sydney, so once, I am really anxious about my next doctor's appointment on Monday morning.

Night out

Tonight I went out to meet some of the ladies I use to teach with. I was so excited for some time out with friends. Thank you so much Sheila for everything you did to put that together. It was nice to catch up. I miss you all and the adult conversation each day. Thank you Sheila, Ashley, Barb, Carol, and Lynn for the extremely thoughtful gift card. I don't know why I have been so overwhelmed about getting some of those last minute things ready for baby Kamryn, but maybe this will push me to go shopping to finish up. You would think the third time around it would be easier and I would know exactly what I need. Well, I made it to 34 weeks, and I can't wait to see Dr. Kil on Monday. Will there be any change??? Will he talk more about my induction??? I will keep you all posted. Enjoy the weekend. One way or the other, Little Kamryn will be here so soon, and I can't wait to see her beautiful face and hold her for the first time. It is so amazing that you can love someone you have never even met yet.

We made it to June

It is hard to believe, but June is finally here, and I am now just about 34 weeks. This past week has brought back many memories of the rough month I had with both girls before delivering. This one seems to have just hit a little sooner. Everyone has said that I have dropped already, and I feel like I have. Last Friday, I had to call for another appointment. I have my 3rd UTI, which isn't really bothering me, I just started to worry about preterm labor. The doctor said I have not started to dilate yet, so that is a good thing. As anxious as I am to see the our new baby girl, I know she needs at least a few more weeks to grow. I still have my daycare running until June 18th, so I need to make it to that point. I will know more after I see the doctor on Monday.
