Welcome Kamryn Grace

She is finally here! Our little angel arrived and what a miraclous story to tell about her birth.

I went into the hospital on Sunday at 4 p.m. with the intentions of them doing the cervadil procedure just like they did with Rylee and Sydney, but the doctor on call said he was just going to start a small drip of pitocin over night. He felt that would get things started by morning. So that all started around 8 p.m. that night. They stopped it at 5:45 a.m. and told me to shower and get ready for the day. So at 7:45 when Dr. Kil came in, he examed me and said I was still 50% and a finger tip. Needless to say, not too much progress had been made overnight. So, he said they were just going to start up the pitocin again and increase it by 2 ml every 30 minutes and hopefully I would begin to move. They continued to monitor me all morning. When I was checked at 10:30, I was about 75% and 2 cm. It was then that they broke my water. An hour later Dr. Kil suggested that I call for my epidural so that I didn't miss my window. He thought after breaking my water I would take off really quickly. Boy, did I have them all at a loss that day. I eventually went to 80% and 3 cm, but stayed that way for the rest of the day. At about 7:00 that night, Dr. Kil decided to really increase the pitocin for about 1 more hour and if he didn't see any progress, we would have to consider a C-Section. I got a little emotional over everything at that point. I just couldn't believe how everything was taking place. Even Dr. Kil said with my history of past deliveries and the way my contractions were showing up on the monitors, everything looked perfect. Well, at 7:50, he examed me again and said I was still about the same. He wondered if her head was a little bigger than the other two since it just wasn't coming down. So, at this time, he called for the anistesiologist and my nurse brought everyone the scrubs and stuff they needed for the surgery. Dr. Kil said he would be back in a few minutes to get everything started. From the time he left until he came back at 8:00, I had about 5 or 6 really good contractions that hurt, and I couldn't understand why since my epdirural was working. Brad told him that I hadn't been like that all day and then I really felt pressure. He examed me again and I was at 10 cm. It all took place in 10 minutes. I started pushing at 8:10 and 5 pushes later at 8:26, our beautiful baby girl arrived. It was such a blessing from God that it happened that way. Dr. Kil was amazing. He stayed with me all night. I could not ask for a better doctor. So now after that whole story here are a few pictures from right after my delivery.

Congratulation Shannon and Brad:
What a beautiful baby girl you have been blessed with, what a family you have. What an amazing end to your pregnancy, God is sooooo good, I am so happy he didn't allow for you to have a C-section, you would have done fine through it but it wasn't what you expected. He is always in control and and he is an awesome God!

Love,

Cheryl
